Inspiration Board: Lake House Bedroom

What better way to rest after a long day hiking, swimming, or fishing than in a cozy cabin bedroom? The stately bed sets the tone for the fantastic rustic theme seen throughout the lake house bedroom, while the accent colors of warm brown, red, and blue reflect the woodsy atmosphere found outdoors. A kaleidoscope of earth tones are found in the braided rug, which enhance the warm and inviting feel of this restful room. And don’t forget the adorable moose accent pillow that adds a dose of country charm!

Rooms To Love: Romantic Elegance

Designer Jim Howard created this design scheme in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida for a couple who wanted their new home to express the feeling of a cozy beach home and a rustic Tuscan villa. As you can see, he executed those concepts beautifully. Together, the powder blue and cream color scheme evokes the feeling of sand and sea, while the wrought iron candelabras and dramatic scalloped valances provide a rustic Italian tone.

Color Board: Bittersweet

This bittersweet palette boasts a perfect balance of cool and warm colors, sure to inspire coastal decorating ideas for your coastal cottage home. The splashy notes of coral and zesty lime are cooled off with a dose of soft seafoam. What’s wonderful about this palette is the versatility of the colors! You can emphasize the coral and the lime for a punchier look, or really play up the seafoam. Either way, the colors will create a harmonious atmosphere in any space.

Inspiration Board: Porch Breakfast Nook

What better way to wake up and enjoy a cup of coffee than on a three season porch? Here is an inspiration board to help you put together a quaint and cozy breakfast nook look. The hues of blue, cream, and white make for an easy-on-the-eyes palette that will blend right into the summer sky. Wicker pieces can help create a seamless transition from the inside to the great outdoors. Rattan is a natural material that is eco-friendly and durable. We suggest this look for a covered or three season porch only, because natural rattan is not meant to be in the direct elements.
