Dining tables included in our Cottage Furniture Collection are made from Rubberwood, also known as parawood in Thailand. Rubberwood is used in high-end furniture as it is valued for its dense grain, attractive color, minimal shrinkage, and acceptance of different finishes. It is also prized as an “environmentally friendly” wood, as it makes use of trees that have been cut down at the end of their latex-producing cycle. The older practice was to burn the “useless” tree. Finished in the USA.
Offering 40 standard paint colors and 5 standard stains, the furniture can also be finished with the custom color of your choice. Each finished piece involves a primer coat and two coats of a water based acrylic lacquer for a durable and lasting finish. See color tab below.
Unsure of paint or stain color? No problem! Simply choose TBD (to be determined) as your color choice. We’ll send you samples to help you choose the perfect color for your piece of furniture. Furniture orders can be placed into production without the final color choice.
